MVTec Software and Siemens combine their expertise for machine vision solutions in industry. Siemens has been part of the MVTec technology partner program since May 2025 - with a focus on deep learning and high-performance industrial PCs. The aim of the partnership is the close technical integration of MVTec's machine vision software with industrial PCs from the Simatic IPC series to enable particularly demanding machine vision applications.

Among other things, the focus is on the use of MVTec 'Halcon' on devices such as the 'Simatic IPC BX-35A and BX-39A'. These industrial PCs support tasks such as anomaly detection, optical character recognition (OCR) or shape-based matching. The integration of Nvidia Jetson Orin NX in the BX-35A serves as an AI accelerator to execute deep learning inferences in real time.

"We are delighted to welcome Siemens, a heavyweight in the automation industry, to our technology partner program. With Siemens, we are expanding the portfolio of the partner program with an important component, namely high-performance IPCs," says Roman Moie, Product Owner at MVTec. Peter Berger, Product Portfolio Manager at Siemens, adds: "With this partnership, we want to put the perfect interaction of these solutions with our robust Simatic industrial PCs on an even broader footing."

The cooperation focuses on standardized interfaces, joint component development and the goal of making industrial automation applications more easily scalable. In addition to Halcon, the focus is also on the no-code platform 'Merlic', including a planned plug-in for the Siemens Simatic PLC and integration into the Siemens Industrial Edge ecosystem.
