New development center
Murrelektronik: More room for innovation
Murrelektronik has put the new development center at the company headquarters in Oppenweiler into operation. The employees now have an additional 3,750 square meters of space at their disposal.
Bernd Waser, Head of Development for Automation & Power at Murrelektronik, explains: "When designing our new development center, we attached great importance to facilitating good and purposeful communication between employees." In communication areas, employees can come together for spontaneous discussions and solve small challenges together directly. For concentrated work, there are variously designed retreats where development employees can process their ideas in peace, it was said.
The fact that the different teams and work areas of the development process are housed in one building intensifies collaboration and reduces "waste" at the interfaces. To make it easier for technical trainees and students to start their careers from scratch, their training area is also housed in the development building.
According to Murrelektronik, a good working environment was important when choosing the materials. The extensive use of wood should ensure a high quality of stay and walls made of clay ensure a pleasant indoor climate. "Our employees should feel completely at ease in our premises," says Waser. as
