Müller celebrates its 40th anniversary
Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge celebrates its 40th anniversary.
In 1981, the married couple Karl-Heinz and Siglinde Müller founded K.-H. Müller GbR in Sien. Together with three employees, they ground tools for woodworking. This resulted in a success story that culminated in the largest single order in the company's history in its 40th anniversary year. The path to this was characterized by strategic expansion of the portfolio, production capacities and the company's own development efforts.
Mathias Schmidt became Managing Partner in 2011: "By purchasing our own PVD coating system, we were able to expand our portfolio once again in 2011. In 2012, we also invested in a new production line for new tools. This enabled us to grow further and establish ourselves even better on the market."
The rural nature of the area also brings challenges. For example, it is not always easy to recruit young precision tool mechanics and industrial clerks. In order to attract young talent from the region, Müller offers attractive incentives and offers, in addition to above-tariff pay, a guaranteed job and a trainee shuttle for trainees under the age of 18. Apprentices also receive a subsidy for their driving license.
