Following the declaration of intent by the state government of Baden-Württemberg on 23 June 2020 that trade fairs with more than 1,000 participants will be allowed to take place again from 1 September 2020, trade fair organizer Schall and its project team for the organization of Motek/Bondexpo 2020 have switched from wait-and-see mode to proactive implementation mode. Based on the latest resolutions of the federal and state governments as well as the requirements of the health and public order office, which is now directly responsible, Schall is in close contact with the operator of Messe Stuttgart in order to be able to carry out the trade fair properly under the given hygiene, distance and safety regulations.

The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Social Affairs have drawn up hygiene guidelines for trade fairs as a benchmark. "Our trade fair locations already enable a high degree of controllability. They are already well prepared. For example, through access controls with registration by name, limiting the number of participants, controlling the flow of visitors in relation to the size of the room/hall or ventilation concepts for indoor areas," explained Baden-Württemberg Minister of Economic Affairs Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut.

The number of visitors at large trade fairs would be considered in a differentiated manner, as not all visitors are at the trade fair at the same time; rather, the streams of visitors are distributed both over one trade fair day and over all trade fair days, which allows for controlled management. In coordination with the responsible authorities, the site operator Messe Stuttgart and the trade fair company Schall, an implementation concept is being developed that will be submitted for approval in a few days. The trade fair organizer hopes to be able to give exhibitors and cooperation partners the go-ahead for Motek/Bondexpo 2020 by the end of July 2020 at the latest.

Smart Solutions for Production and Assembly
Motek's product and service portfolio of components, assemblies, subsystems and complete systems for automated production and assembly is aimed at end-to-end automated, flexible production. The information, communication and business platform showcases complete solutions that are geared towards industrial practice and networked in terms of technology and communication. With joining technology as an elementary component of industrial production, the complementary Bondexpo is an addition.

One of the focal topics of the industry highlight from 5 to 8 October 2020 will be digitalization, and start-up companies will also be given a special platform: they will present their developments, solutions and services to trade visitors in a specially designed "start-up area". as
