Roboverse Reply wins AIRA Challenge

For the second time in a row, Roboverse Reply, a Reply Group company, has won the "Advanced Industrial Robotic Applications (AIRA) Challenge". The competition called on international experts to develop solutions that enable remote control of mobile robots during autonomous inspections in production plants. The company's award-winning platform combines artificial intelligence and human expertise in real-life applications to tackle challenging tasks in industry.

The final of the AIRA Challenge took place for the second time at Achema, the trade fair for the process industry. With this competition, the chemical and pharmaceutical companies BASF, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Wacker and Bayer are promoting the development of new robotics applications for their industry.

Five solutions in the final

This year, five finalists showed how they can navigate their robots remotely through production facilities and use them to perform various tasks such as opening doors, maintaining systems or checking inventories. Roboverse Reply impressed with a user-friendly, easily scalable solution that is enterprise-ready. This allows mobile robots such as Spot from Boston Dynamics to be moved intuitively using standard components such as VR glasses via hand tracking or controllers and their gripper arms to be used precisely. Users can also use the goggles to call up additional information such as measured values and site plans, enabling them to make even more informed decisions. As all data is processed in the customer's cloud infrastructure, the solution can be used from any location and quickly integrated into existing systems.
