The economic region of Southeast Asia is on the rise, with countries such as Malaysia showing high growth rates and making increasing inroads into the high-tech sector. Maxon Motor is therefore expanding its commitment in the region and has founded a new sales company for the Southeast Asia region together with its long-term partner Servo Dynamics in Singapore.

The specialist for DC motors and mechatronic systems has been represented by its exclusive sales partner in Singapore since the early 1990s. This partnership has now been taken to a new level. Together, the parties have founded the Maxon Southeast Asia sales company, which means that Maxon Motor can now serve customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and the Philippines directly.

"Southeast Asia is an important base outside of China for many global companies. Especially since trade relations between the US and China have been in crisis, more and more companies are reviewing their supply chains and considering an increased presence in this region," says Marc Gottenkieny, Head of Business Management APAC at Maxon. "With the new sales company, we will be able to position ourselves very well and look forward to the many opportunities that the market in Southeast Asia holds."
