Maxon Motor takes over motor manufacturer Parvalux

Maxon Motor acquires Parvalux Electric Motors, based in the UK. Parvalux has more than 70 years of experience in the development and production of brushed DC motors, AC motors and gearboxes.

The company employs 185 people at three production sites in Bournemouth and has a turnover of £23 million, with exports accounting for 40 percent.

With the integration of Parvalux, the Maxon Motor Group is expanding its portfolio with DC motors in the power range up to 1.5 kW, AC motors and worm gears. In addition, markets are opening up in the fields of medical technology (stair lifts, electric wheelchairs and more) and industry (robotics, transportation systems). Parvalux in turn benefits from the global sales network and is set to grow further - also in terms of personnel. The current management of Parvalux will remain in place.
