Manageable in Milan

The organizers of the machine tool trade fair EMO (Exposition Mondiale de la Machine Outil) were lucky: The event was not planned for the coronavirus year 2020; the trade fair can now take place in 2021 under the usual coronavirus conditions.

The venue is the Milan Exhibition Center in Rho from Monday, October 4 to Friday, October 9. However, only three double halls are open this year, whereas in 2015 all halls were still fully occupied. Nevertheless, Cecimo, the umbrella organization of European machine tool manufacturers, can be quite satisfied as the organizer: In addition to the traditionally well-represented Italian suppliers, international manufacturers from France and Israel to China and Taiwan have also booked stands.

German exhibitors include DMG Mori, Schaeffler, Schunk, Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen and Siemens. The most important trade fair theme at EMO is all types of metalworking, even if the range of products on display goes far beyond this. The next two EMO editions are scheduled to take place in Hanover in 2023 and 2025.
