The 2020 event was one of the first industrial trade fairs to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and in 2022 the original date had to be postponed to May. Now, however, all the signals are green, and not even the Hannover Messe, which was taking place almost simultaneously, was able to dampen exhibitor interest. With an expected 1,500 exhibitors, a good third of them from abroad, and an exhibition area of more than 120,000 square meters in all ten halls of the Stuttgart exhibition grounds, the capacities of LogiMAT 2022 are at pre-corona levels.

"Taking into account the optimal safety standards according to the current hygiene concept, we would even have more exhibition space than before the pandemic," emphasizes Exhibition Director Michael Ruchty. "For example, the entire gallery space in Hall 1 has been booked by exhibitors for the first time."

Live cases on the outdoor area

In addition, open spaces on the outdoor exhibition grounds have been activated for live cases from forklift truck manufacturers. In addition, the specialist forums with a mix of exciting lecture series will move from the halls into the Logimat Arena. At this central location in the Atrium, East Entrance, up to 150 listeners can follow the presentations with the necessary safety distance. Overall, the trade fair is once again fully booked.

To make it easier for trade visitors to find their way around, the halls are once again divided into exhibitor groups. The machine and system manufacturers, system providers and integrators will present their current range of products and solutions in Halls 1, 3, 5 and large parts of Hall 7, where new shuttle systems, carry robots, autonomous picking robots and space-saving sorting solutions will be on show, innovative picking machines and conveyor technology components will be presented and new pocket sorters and cobots for picking and palletizing will be on display. Several system integrators will be on site with AutoStore systems.

Arena in the atrium

In the Logimat supporting program, the trade fair organizer has concentrated the lecture series of the specialist forums, this year in the Arena in the Atrium East entrance. In addition to the presence trade fair, the organizer is also hosting the new "Forum Innovationen.digital" format on the LogiMAT.digital internet platform. From April 26 to May 25, 25-minute exhibitor presentations can be followed there. 120 companies will present their trade fair innovations, products, solutions and services in advance.
