Leuze grows strongly

The sensor specialist Leuze announced excellent figures at its annual press conference.

Last year, the family business achieved a turnover of 260 million euros. An increase of 23% compared to the previous year. Orders worth 346 million euros are on the books. The drivers were the economic recovery, first in China and then in Europe and the USA. The switch to electromobility in particular is having a financial impact.

However, Leuze is also struggling with the faltering supply of components, but CEO Ulrich Balbach believes that the necessary resources are secured. The company is also planning to increase its workforce by 165 employees. The overarching goal, both in-house and for products for customers, is sustainability. At a technical level, Leuze wants to facilitate the convergence of different control standards. The focus is also on condition monitoring, intralogistics and safety.
