Lantek: Alberto López de Biñaspre appointed as new CEO

Lantek announces the appointment of former General Electric manager Alberto López de Biñaspre Maurolagoitia as its new Managing Director.

The new CEO has more than 16 years of experience in leading international teams. During this time, he has had a clear focus on building and fostering corporate culture and talent development and has earned a strong reputation as a pioneer of committed and high-performing teams. As Business Development Manager, his own career has focused on leading international projects and activities as well as developing differentiated services to strengthen customer loyalty and build new business relationships for continuous growth.

With this personnel change, Lantek aims to consolidate its position as a multinational market leader and at the same time emphasizes its firm commitment to the digital transformation of the metal industry.

López de Biñaspre has spent most of his career at General Electric. At the multinational company based in North America, he was responsible for various areas, most recently for the development of the grid automation business. In this capacity, he was Managing Director of the GE plant in Zamudio, with a workforce of 200 employees and a turnover of 70 million euros, as well as Head of P&L (Profit & Loss) for Europe, Russia, the CIS countries and sub-Saharan Africa, generating a turnover of more than 200 million euros with a team of 450 employees and ten agencies.

The fact that the new Lantek Managing Director speaks fluent German will be a particular advantage for the German market. Customers will have the opportunity to meet Alberto López de Biñaspre at Euroblech in Hanover. From October 23 to 26, 2018 in Hall 12, Stand A118, the company will be presenting its latest solutions for the automation of sheet metal processing.
