Intec and Z in attendance again

After the last edition of the Intec and Z industrial trade fairs could only be held as a virtual event due to the coronavirus pandemic, preparations for the face-to-face trade fairs from March 7 to 10, 2023 at Leipziger Messe are now in full swing.

In addition, the successful trade fair alliance will be further strengthened - GrindTec, the international trade fair for tool machining and tool grinding, will take place alongside Intec and Z from next year. The Intec, Z and GrindTec trade fair alliance is the first important industry gathering in 2023 for production technology in the metalworking, supplier and tool industries in Europe.

"Intec and Z are back and can finally return to their well-established, ideal trade fair dates at the beginning of odd-numbered years with a full presence and full strength. This means that suppliers and users from the metalworking industry and the supplier sector will be able to exchange ideas in face-to-face dialog at our trade fairs in March 2023 - this is where investment decisions are made and projects are driven forward," explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "Another plus point for our exhibitors and visitors is that the leading international trade fair GrindTec is starting with us as a new organizer and will in future enrich our trade fair network Intec and Z, which has been very successful for many years. With the world of tool machining and tool grinding, GrindTec further enhances the excellent range of products and services offered by the trade fair network."

The strong GrindTec trade fair brand is taking off in Leipzig under the motto "From users for users". Prof. Dr. Wilfried Saxler, Managing Director of the Fachverband der Präzisionswerkzeugmechaniker e. V. (FDPW): "The 'new' GrindTec concentrates and focuses on everything that makes up the precision tool mechanics trade: from tool development, machining and manufacturing to grinding, sharpening, repairing, measuring, coating and digital support. With this GrindTec concept and the merger with Intec and Z, we have created real added value. On the one hand for the visitors, who can now visit a total of three trade fairs with the associated exhibitors with one admission ticket, and on the other hand for our exhibitors, who can expect additional, valuable trade fair contacts from the Intec and Z visitors." The FDPW is and remains the conceptual and professional sponsor of GrindTec.

Intec, Z and GrindTec: added value in a trio of trade fairs

Intec focuses on innovative products and the latest developments in production technology for metalworking, automation technology for upstream and downstream processes in production, as well as technology and equipment for workshops and operations. Embedded in an environment characterized by the manufacturing industry, mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry and renowned research institutions, the trade fair is an efficient, practice-oriented platform for both globally active industry leaders and solution-oriented SMEs from all over Germany and Europe.

Preparations for the supplier trade fair are also in full swing: next March, Z will once again offer suppliers of the medium production stages the perfect platform for positioning themselves on the market. With innovative ideas and sophisticated products, the suppliers will present an exhibition tailored to the needs of the industry. At Z, visitors can find out about everything from the smallest components to production technology for the processing industry and complete assemblies.

The registration phase for GrindTec 2023 also started a few weeks ago: At the international trade fair, suppliers of tool processing systems, manufacturers of grinding machines for tool production and processing as well as producers of grinding and dressing technology, among others, will be showcasing their innovations. In addition, suppliers of machine peripherals and companies from the process technology sector will also be exhibiting at GrindTec. Major players from the industry such as GDS, Gühring, Günter Effgen, Haas Schleifmaschinen, Heinz Berger Maschinenfabrik and Vomat have already secured their stands.

Specialist program provides important impetus for the industry

In addition to the attractive exhibition offerings at Intec, Z and GrindTec 2023, the practice-oriented specialist program of the international trade fair association will also provide important impetus for the industry. Experts will shed light on the dynamic process of integrating additive manufacturing into industrial production as part of the special show and the specialist forum "Additive manufacturing - evolution of a modern technology". The special show and specialist forum entitled "Sensor technology - use and prospects in production" will focus on the requirements and new concepts relating to the key technology of sensor technology with proven and evolving production methods. The forward-looking technology topic "Fuel Cell Hub - value creation through hydrogen" will also be addressed at the trade fair trio. A joint stand with a specialist colloquium will provide the ideal setting for discussing specific fuel cell applications.

GrindTec will once again present the many facets of tool machining in various themed areas. The GrindTec Forum will offer specialist lectures and presentations of trade fair innovations. The exciting tool grinder of the year competition will also take place. Visitors can also look forward to the latest research findings at the GrindTec Campus. A special highlight will be the GrindTec Innovation Award, which will be presented for the second time.
