Smart Automation Linz
Innovations for smart solutions
Smart Automation Austria, the platform for the Austrian automation industry, takes place every year, alternating between Vienna and Linz. This year, Linz is once again the venue for the trade fair, which focuses on factory automation and process automation.
According to organizer Reed Exhibitions, the range of products on show at the trade fair extends from the component level to complete systems and integrated automation solutions and covers all product areas of industrial automation technology. From May 14 to 16, Smart Automation Austria will once again prove the innovative power of the automation industry at the fully booked Design Center Linz. A total of 190 exhibitors, including some new participants, will be presenting the latest innovations and trends in industrial automation technology and its product and application areas. This year, the organizer is also ensuring a higher quality of service with expanded parking capacities and the complete redesign of the pavilion on the forecourt.
SEW-Eurodrive will once again be on site as an exhibitor; this year, the company will be presenting its DriveRadar concept for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance for scalable services for the smart factory. Martin Krinninger, head of the drive technology specialist's technical office in Linz, explains: "The digital transformation and intelligent networking of production and logistics are making sustainable progress. The DriveRadar concept is used to ensure that components, solutions and the entire system can also be monitored during operation."
WSCAD has also exhibited several times at Smart Automation Austria. "A world in which designers have all the tools they need to automate routine tasks. A world in which designers can concentrate on what only people can do best: Creativity and innovation," is the vision of Axel Zein, CEO of WSCAD Germany.
Universal Robots is new among the exhibitors. Managing Director and General Manager Western Europe Helmut Schmid explains: "Automation and robotics are no longer the preserve of large corporations. Collaborative robots such as those from Universal Robots also give small and medium-sized companies in any industry the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of automation. This potential must be exploited - and Smart Automation Austria is the ideal platform for us to do so. Together with our Austrian partner Softwerk, we will be represented at the trade fair for the first time this year, further expanding our presence in the market. Using various practical applications, we will provide clear examples of how our robots generate added value for their users."
Faulhaber Austria will also be exhibiting in Linz for the first time. The company will be presenting its new external rotor high-performance drives with innovative winding technology.
