Infineon strengthens cooperation with Denso
Infineon Technologies is intensifying its long-term cooperation with Denso Corporation, a global supplier of advanced automotive technologies, systems and components.
As a result, Infineon, manufacturer of semiconductor solutions for the automotive industry, is strengthening its global automotive business. Together, the companies want to expand their systems expertise - in both established and new technologies. These include automated driving and electromobility.
To strengthen the cooperation, Denso has also acquired Infineon shares in the mid double-digit million euro range.
"Strong partnerships with semiconductor companies are important for us to secure access to the best possible semiconductor solutions for vehicle electronics systems," says Hiroyuki Ina, Senior Executive Director of Denso Corporation. "Our goal is to further increase competitiveness in the fields of automated driving and electromobility."
"We are pleased to further expand our excellent relationship with Denso," said Dr. Reinhard Ploss, CEO of Infineon. "Our cooperation with Japan's largest automotive systems supplier, which is also one of the world's leading suppliers, strengthens our ties to the Japanese industry and our position in the Japanese and global semiconductor markets. We welcome Denso as a shareholder."
