Partnership to develop an intelligent ecosystem for the IoT
Infineon Technologies and the Chinese JD Group have signed a strategic partnership agreement. The companies want to create an efficient and secure intelligent ecosystem for the IoT and thus accelerate the implementation of "smart life" applications.
The two partners combine Infineon 's technical expertise in semiconductor solutions with JD's knowledge of the local market and network. The company is the largest online retailer in China.
"Infineon is committed to strengthening multiple industries through safe and efficient technologies. Our focus is on building strong alliances with partners in local markets," said Adam White, Senior Vice President Global Sales of the Power Management & Multimarket Division at Infineon. "We are excited about the strategic partnership with JD. Both sides will benefit from it."
Contribution to continuous further development
As a technology company, Infineon offers technical support in aspects such as the development of IoT devices, networking, data storage and data analysis. The partnership aims to realize and accelerate applications in areas such as smart home and other scenarios. This will contribute to the continuous development of JD's cloud service platform.
"Collaborating with a global semiconductor industry leader like Infineon is of great strategic importance to JD," said Xianglong Su, General Manager, Intelligent Manufacturing Department, Electronics and Entertainment Group at JD. "Whether it's a solution platform for electronic components or the overall IoT ecosystem we want to build, breakthroughs depend on the level of innovation and the underlying technology that supports it. This ultimately enables a smarter, more convenient and safer user experience."
