Trade fair for image processing
Vision parallel to Motek in future
Messe Stuttgart will be holding the next Vision from October 5 to 7, 2021. The new date in the odd-numbered trade fair year, parallel to Motek, the trade fair for production and assembly automation, is to be retained in the long term.
Following the corona-related cancellation for 2020, Messe Stuttgart announced that the change to the odd-numbered trade fair year is in line with the wishes of the exhibitors and visitors surveyed. In a survey, a clear majority (75 percent of the exhibitors and 81 percent of the visitors surveyed) spoke out in favor of the presence event in 2021.
"Just as the machine vision industry is developing dynamically, so is Vision. We are using the current challenges to take further measures that will benefit the world's leading trade fair in the long term," explains Florian Niethammer, team leader and responsible project manager for Vision at Messe Stuttgart. In addition to the strategic measures already initiated for 2020, such as the launch of Start-up World or a communication offensive in the Chinese market, Messe Stuttgart is planning to further extend the trade fair experience for Vision 2021 with digital additions.
However, a virtual replacement for the canceled trade fair date in 2020 is not planned. Dr. Klaus-Henning Noffz, Director New Business Development Basler AG and Chairman of the Executive Board of the VDMA Machine Vision Division, the conceptual sponsor of the trade fair, welcomes the move: "Vision is an essential hub for the machine vision industry. We are looking forward to a strong Vision 2021, once again with many personal encounters with business contacts and friends from all over the world."
