Hörmann takes over Hermann

The personally liable partner of the Hörmann Group, Christoph Hörmann, has signed the purchase agreement for the acquisition of Hermann Automation. In doing so, the company intends to strengthen its recently integrated access control systems business.

Hermann Automation, based in Mengerskirchen northwest of Frankfurt, has specialized in the development, production and sale of parking management systems for more than 30 years. The product range of the company, which has just under 50 employees, includes barriers and barrier systems, parking management systems such as automatic pay stations and vehicle registration systems. The corresponding service and maintenance services are also offered for these product areas. The current owner and founder, Dieter Hermann, will continue to manage the company as Managing Director.

"These products are a useful addition to our recently integrated access control systems business, which we can strengthen," says Christoph Hörmann. Since December 2016, Hörmann has held a majority stake in the Italian company Pilomat, which produces access control systems such as bollards, drive-through barriers, lifting beams and tire killers. as
