Dr. Barbara Frei appointed Executive Vice President Europe Operations
Schneider Electric, provider for the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has appointed Dr. Barbara Frei, Zone President of the DACH region, as Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric Europe Operations.
Frei began her career in 1998 as a development project manager for motors and drives at ABB Schweiz AG and held various management positions within the ABB Group before joining Schneider Electric as Country President of Germany in 2016.
After laying the foundations for future growth in Germany, the industry expert took over the position of Zone President of the newly founded DACH region, which comprises Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since then, the 48-year-old has joined forces in the market and merged the three countries into one large sales organization. The new alignment has created enormous synergies and added value for customers in the area of digital transformation.
Building on the success of a comprehensive range of solutions and service concepts in the DACH region, the new Head of Europe now wants to bundle her expertise across the entire continent: "I am looking forward to driving further growth in Europe. One of my objectives is to raise awareness of our company, our innovations and the added value of our solutions in our four end markets of buildings, data centers, industry and infrastructure."
Dr. Frei studied at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and holds a PhD in Electrical Machines and an MBA from IMD Lausanne (Switzerland).
