Flir Systems receives Red Dot Award
The T500 thermal imaging camera series from Flir has received the "Red Dot: Best of the Best" award for 2018. The award is presented for pioneering product design and is the highest accolade in the Red Dot Award.
Only the best products in each category receive this award. The T500 series, which is the second Flir product to win this award in two consecutive years, joins the Exx series as a premier professional instrument recognized for its outstanding design.
The series combines sophisticated ergonomics with a robust and high-performance thermal imaging camera. With its lightweight magnesium interior and 180° rotatable optical block, it can be used comfortably for hours on end, while its shatterproof touchscreen can withstand even the harshest operating conditions.
However, the camera series not only offers an excellent design, but also numerous advanced functions that have been specially developed for professional users. The laser-assisted autofocus ensures fast and precise readings, while Flir Vision Processing combines IR resolution with the MSX and UltraMax image to produce a particularly detailed, sharp and low-noise thermal image.
