The 30th anniversary of the company last year and the production of the 10,000th WKS tool cabinet were reasons for Apfel to look back on the past with satisfaction and to look to the future: with the Special Edition 10,000. It has an anthracite-colored look in RAL 7021 and can be combined with the furnishing components of many other manufacturers. With its effective use of space and access from both sides, the principle of vertically installed pull-outs is suitable wherever many different parts need to be stored in a small space and high loads are required. The clear arrangement and easy accessibility of all items are advantages that also count in warehousing, assembly and maintenance.

When fully equipped, the special model of the WKS 002 accommodates 800 standard storage boxes, which are already included in the scope of delivery, on a footprint of only around one square meter. Sturdy, bolted shelves, specially designed for this purpose, hold them securely and accurately in place. The robust construction of the pull-outs made of three-millimeter sheet steel and rotating wheels, which ensure smooth running and secure guidance, allow a load capacity of 900 kilograms per pull-out. With a front width of only around one meter, the WKS can therefore store large quantities of screws, small parts and C-items in a dust-free manner or hold the complete operating requirements of several assembly stations.

With double-stacked storage bins, which are provided with slide-in strips for appropriate labeling, the apple cabinet set is also suitable as a buffer store for stocking according to the Kanban method. The consumption-oriented system can reduce stock levels and the associated costs by up to half without restricting the usual material flow.

All other cabinet variants, which Apfel offers in different heights, widths, depths and pull-out variants, are also available in RAL colors. Thanks to the different pull-out variants and the selection of different configurations, the WKS is a universally usable storage space that can be configured to suit requirements. With its specially designed tool holders, it offers solutions for almost all tools used in the metalworking industry, such as milling cutters, drills, press brakes, punching tools or set-up cassettes. The range also includes perforated sheet metal walls, shelves, bulk material trays and holders for work documents. Shelves, holders, trays and other accessories are available individually and can be mounted in a grid with 25 millimeter hole spacing. Thanks to the sheet steel construction, the side and rear panels with magnetic labeling can also be used as an information board or variable parts list.
