New Eplan branch opened in China
Eplan Software & Service has opened a new branch in Shanghai, China, and celebrated this on June 8 with 230 guests from science, business and politics.
At the ceremony, Managing Director Haluk Menderes emphasized with regard to the future of the engineering software provider: "We want to and will continue to grow in China - the conditions for this are excellent."
Bill Qin, President of Eplan Greater China, kicked off the opening ceremony at the Hongqiao Jin Jiang Hotel Shanghai with his keynote speech "Excellence through Innovation". He gave an overview of digital manufacturing and current concepts for innovative engineering. In his opinion, industrial design will break more and more barriers towards manufacturing. Eplan's goal in China is clear: leading engineering design to drive smart manufacturing in China.
In his presentation on smart engineering, Industry 4.0 and intelligent production, Menderes emphasized the need for end-to-end processes - from engineering to production. "China is excellently positioned here and will drive innovation, smart engineering and production 4.0 for our customers."
Another highlight of the event was a round table on the topic of "Digital Engineering Transformation". Experts from research and industry spoke on topics such as standardization and modular engineering data, the competitiveness of German companies and the definition of "new engineering" in China.
