Changes to the Executive Board
Endress+Hauser changes at the top
Dr. Andreas Mayr will take on more responsibility on the Executive Board of the Endress+Hauser Group as Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 1 March 2019. In this role, he will deputize for CEO Matthias Altendorf and be responsible for sales, production and support. Since October 1, 2018, Jörg Stegert has been the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for the entire HR department.
Matthias Altendorf, who has headed the family-owned company since 2014, will in future focus even more intensively on the alignment, networking and further development of the Endress+Hauser Group, as well as on anchoring the corporate culture and values worldwide. In addition to focusing on strategy, business development and digitalization, he will drive forward the further expansion of the laboratory analysis business.
As Corporate Director for Marketing and Technology, 57-year-old Andreas Mayr was already a member of the Group's Executive Board. In future, the doctor of physics, who has been working for the company since 1998, will contribute his entire manpower.
Dr. Peter Selders (49) will succeed him as CEO of Endress+Hauser SE+Co. KG in Maulburg - the Group's competence center for level and pressure measurement technology - on 1 January 2019. He is currently responsible for the main Technology division.
The background to the reorganization is the increasing momentum of digitalization, the changing economic and political environment and, last but not least, the steady growth of the internationally active group of companies. "We want to continue to actively shape this change," explains Klaus Endress, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "Bundling operational responsibility in the hands of a COO gives the CEO in particular more freedom for his tasks."
Jörg Stegert is a new member of the Executive Board. He has been Head of Human Resources at the Group since October 1, 2018. The 48-year-old was most recently Head of Human Resources at Knorr-Bremse in Munich. There, he was responsible for the top management level and drove forward central HR projects such as the introduction of international structures and a modern HR IT landscape. He is also familiar with internal communication and training and development issues. Jörg Stegert replaces Roland Kienzler, who has left the company at his own request.
The Group's Executive Board also includes Dr. Manfred Jagiella (responsible for the process analysis business as Corporate Director), Chief Information Officer Pieter de Koning (information technology), Chief Sales Officer Nikolaus Krüger (sales and service), Chief Financial Officer Dr. Luc Schultheiss (finance) and General Counsel Dr. Heiner Zehntner (legal).
