Dual leadership at Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric is reorganizing management responsibility in the Building division as of March 1, 2018 in the form of a dual leadership team. Markus Hettig (47) will then be Vice President Building DACH. Udo Hoffmann (48) will become Vice President Building Sales, Germany.

Hoffmann succeeds Alexander von Schweinitz, who left the company at his own request at the end of 2017. Hoffmann and Hettig are now members of the Executive Board and report directly to Dr. Barbara Frei, Zone President DACH/CEO of Schneider Electric. In his position, Hettig is responsible for the overall strategy of the Building division, including offer and channel management in the DACH zone. Hoffmann is responsible for sales and partner business in Germany in the Building division. The Schneider Electric Building business unit addresses residential and functional buildings. It deals with issues relating to energy management, infrastructure and energy distribution as well as smart home solutions.

Markus Hettig has been working at Schneider Electric since 2016. He started there as Vice President Partner Projects & Buildings Germany and moved to the position of Vice President Building DACH in October 2017. Before joining Schneider Electric, he worked for the Hager Group for more than 15 years, most recently as Strategy Director. The graduate in Business Administration (FH) and Bachelor of Science in Engineering (FH) is married and has three children.

Udo Hoffmann has been working for Schneider Electric since 2009. He started as Branch Manager Mannheim and became Regional Sales Director in 2013. Prior to that, he worked for Siemens AG and Nokia Siemens Networks for more than ten years, most recently as Sales Director and Lead Sales Director. The electrical engineering graduate is married and has two children.
