Dr. Lothar Seybold new Rafi CEO

The operating technology specialist Rafi has begun a generational change at the top of the company. Dr. Lothar Seybold has been the new CEO and Technical Managing Director since the beginning of the year.

The previous managing partners Albert Wasmeier and Gerhard Schenk will move to the Supervisory Board in the second half of 2019. The central objective of the new Managing Director is to drive forward digitalization in all areas of the company in line with the physical requirements for the form and function of modern operating technology.

An electronics engineer with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a PhD in control engineering, Dr. Seybold began his career at Rafi as a product manager for operating systems. In 2013, Dr. Seybold took over as Head of System Development. In 2016, he took over the Components and Systems divisions and was responsible for setting up innovation management. Before joining the company, he worked as a project engineer and consultant in countries including New Zealand and Switzerland. as
