Seminar series

Coscom offers "Digitalization in production"

As part of the "Coscom Campus", Coscom is adding a new series of seminars to its program. The main topics are digitization, networking and visualization. Current possibilities and scenarios are discussed here in order to supply the different systems in production with standardized data and to create a common production and tool data basis.

New seminar series at Coscom: Digitalization in production

An important point here is to connect different, already existing systems such as machine tools, CAD and CAM systems as well as storage and logistics systems in a common network.

The seminars will cover the following topics, among others: Different paths to digitalization in mechanical manufacturing, the connection and impact between digitalization, streamlining and automation of business processes.

Using data company-wide

An important goal here is to link data from the ERP system with production. This ensures that information is used throughout the company, but is only recorded and maintained once in one place.

Important prerequisites for success are mature lean management and lean processes in all industrial functional areas. For the latter, the right digital technologies must also be identified and implemented. In mechanical production, lean management methods are reaching their limits. Methods such as OPF or Kanban can no longer simply be implemented according to the textbook.

Current topics with practical relevance

The events serve as a platform for the exchange of current topics in the manufacturing industry and provide direct practical recommendations for action. In discussions, participants can discuss tasks and problems in the machining infrastructure in a practical manner.

The seminars are aimed at technical managers, IT managers responsible for production, plant and production managers as well as lean managers and controllers with responsibility for production. Interested parties can register by telephone on 08092-2098-0 or by e-mail to [email protected].
