Chief Executive Officer takes over
COO John Stephenson has left the Norma Group
John Stephenson, Chief Operating Officer of the Norma Group, has left the company at his own request as of January 31. In the transition phase until a new appointment is made, CEO Bernd Kleinhens will assume the duties of COO. John Stephenson has managed the company's operating business as a member of the Management Board since 2009 and established a robust APAC structure as President of the Asia-Pacific region from 2011 to 2014. The position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be newly filled.
"We would like to thank John Stephenson for his outstanding achievements as COO. Under his leadership, the Norma Group has raised quality standards and production efficiency worldwide," says Dr. Stefan Wolf, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. "During his time as President of the Asia-Pacific region, he also opened up new growth markets in the water management sector through three acquisitions and successfully integrated acquired companies into the Group. We regret John Stephenson's departure from the Norma Group and wish him all the best for his professional future."
"John Stephenson's many initiatives have had a decisive impact on the success of the Norma Group and represent valuable foundations on which we can continue to build," says Bernd Kleinhens, CEO of the Norma Group. "I would like to thank him for his collegial cooperation on the Management Board and wish him every success in the future." John Stephenson informed the Supervisory Board in 2017 that he would like to step down from the Management Board at the latest when his term of office expires in July 2018. kp
