The 56-year-old Mayer is the management spokesman and responsible for the group of companies, which is represented in nine countries. "We are delighted to have found in Richard Mayer a manager with a wealth of international experience and are convinced that this new management team will lead the Blumenbecker Group into a successful future together," says majority shareholder Astrid Blumenbecker. Mayer was most recently a member of the board and CFO at the Pfleiderer Group in Neumarkt/Oberfalz. "I am looking forward to the new tasks and challenges at the Blumenbecker family business," says Mayer.

Mayer began his professional career as Managing Director of the logistics company Reichhart in Gilching while studying business administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. After graduating, the business graduate moved to the Con Moto consulting group in Munich, where he gained experience as a consultant and project manager in production and distribution logistics.

Mayer then spent 17 years in various positions at the Wacker Neuson SE Group in Munich, an SDAX-listed group of companies for construction machinery, 12 of them as a member of the Executive Board. Among other things, he oversaw and was responsible for the IPO of the Wacker Group and the subsequent merger of Wacker Construction Equipment with Neuson.

In addition to Richard Mayer, Harald Golombek and Olaf Lingnau are now further managing directors of B+M Blumenbecker. Golombek has been Managing Director of Blumenbecker Automatisierungstechnik since 2004. Lingnau has been Managing Director of Blumenbecker Industriebedarf since 2006 and was also appointed Managing Director of Blumenbecker Industrie-Service in 2015.
