Automation for machine tools
At Intec, Mazak will be presenting automation solutions, the iSmart Factory and the intuitive controls on modern CNC machine tools.
New to the portfolio is a TA-20 robot, which is designed for workpiece weights of up to 20 kilograms. This solution will be demonstrated on a QT 250MSY lathe. The robot cell is easy to program. The automation tool for the loading system is integrated into the Mazatrol as an app in order to perfectly coordinate the machine and loading system. Programming - including the robot - is carried out via simple menus in the Smooth control system. This automation is suitable for small to medium-sized batch sizes.
Another automation solution is a dual pallet changer for the HCR-5000 horizontal 5-axis machining center. The machine was designed for high-speed machining of aluminum and has a high-performance spindle with 30,000 rpm.
The horizontal arrangement of the spindle and the swivel rotary table ensure the removal of even large quantities of chips. The Mazatrol SmoothX control system has been equipped with improved software for five-axis machining. am
