Industrial automation technology
All about Automation: Start of the 2018 trade fair year
The first two All about Automation trade fairs of 2018 are scheduled for the next few weeks: on January 24 and 25 in Hamburg and on March 7 and 8 in Friedrichshafen. The top theme of switchgear construction will also be reflected at both trade fairs.
On January 24 and 25 in the Hamburg-Schnelsen exhibition hall, automation users will be provided with expert information on the latest industrial automation solutions specifically for the northern region of Germany. 116 exhibitors will use the regional platform in 2018 to present their products and services.
Service providers for automation tasks, often based in the region, stand alongside market leaders in automation technology and specialists for components and systems. Thanks to the special trade fair format with identical stand systems, all exhibitors have the same starting point: convincing through quality in information and performance. The focus is on technical discussions and the development of concrete solutions - from technician to technician. Established products and concepts take center stage at All about Automation. New products are presented when they can already be used tomorrow.
A free program with application-oriented presentations by exhibitors and independent experts will take place in the Talk Lounge directly in the exhibition hall. Secure human-robot communication, the Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 topics, especially for small and medium-sized companies, will be discussed, as will functional safety and the pitfalls of doing business abroad.
The trade fair and the Talk Lounge program 2018 will focus in particular on the topic of switchgear construction. One in four exhibitors will be offering solutions in this area. These include manufacturers and suppliers of components such as Escha, Komax, Wieland, Wöhner and Finder; software manufacturers such as E-Plan and Reinholz Software & Technology; as well as service providers and switchgear manufacturers such as Bilfinger GreyLogix, SPIE Hartmann, Hanseatic Power Solutitions and Ingenieur-Kontor-Sottrum.
The exhibitor list, lecture program and all other information about the trade fair can be found at http://www.automation-hamburg.de. The trade fair is open on January 24 from 9 am to 5 pm and on January 25 from 9 am to 4 pm. The venue is the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen, Modering 1a, 22457 Hamburg. The day ticket costs 15 euros. Admission includes parking fees and snacks and drinks in the exhibition hall.
There is a lot on offer for automation users in southern Germany on March 7 and 8, 2018 at the Friedrichshafen exhibition grounds. Component and system manufacturers, distributors and service providers of industrial automation technology will present themselves and their expertise in a compact trade fair concept specifically geared towards the topic of industrial automation.
Over 160 exhibitors are taking part this year. Now in its fifth year, this represents a further increase on the previous year. Companies based around Lake Constance, international industry leaders and specialists from the automation sector will be taking part with a stand, attracting trade visitors from the international Lake Constance region and the surrounding areas.
All segments of industrial automation technology will be covered at the trade fair, such as drive technology, control technology, industrial electronics, safety-related automation, switchgear construction, industrial communication, assembly and handling technology, image processing, visualization and sensor technology as well as services and engineering for automation. In Freidrichshafen, the range of products and services at the exhibition stands will also be supplemented by a free lecture forum directly in the exhibition hall: the Talk Lounge. Safety and security in the age of Industry 4.0 and presentations on current aspects of switchgear construction are two of this year's main topics in the Talk Lounge.
