Automation market in China
New Afag branch in Shanghai
Automation specialist Afag is moving even closer to the Chinese market and its customers with its new branch in Shanghai.
"With our newly established branch in Shanghai, we are becoming an active player in the booming automation market in China," says Thorsten Eiche, General Manager China at Afag. "In order to tap into the enormous market potential, we want to be even closer to machine builders and thus address users and end customers directly."
To ensure this, the company plans not only to invest in its own local team of sales and service staff, but also to expand its partner network. The first employees have been working at the new branch since the spring.
The branch is conveniently located between the two airports and the main railway station. On 350 square meters, there is a showroom for regular customer training and product presentations, a workshop for assembling the handling systems and an in-house warehouse. "The warehouse will enable us to support our customers even better," promises Eiche.
