Advanced Blockchain and DMG Mori cooperate
Advanced Blockchain AG and DMG Mori want to jointly accelerate the development of innovative digitalization solutions. The aim of the technology partnership is to bring distributed ledger technology to industry. The cooperation is open to further partners.
A distributed ledger is a decentralized database that allows participants in a network to share read and write permissions. With DLT
- better known as blockchain technology - unlike a centrally managed database, there is no need for a higher-level authority to make new entries in the database. Both companies have identified a number of applications in this area. An initial pilot project has already been initiated. Further projects, which may also involve other industrial partners, will follow.
Michael Geike, CEO of Advanced Blockchain AG, is delighted: "With this cooperation, we have created a great basis for bringing distributed ledger technology to industrial maturity. The potential applications of the technology are diverse and will change traditional business models and enable new ones." Mechanical engineering in particular is predestined for industrial applications of DLT - especially in the areas of documentation, certification and leasing.
Alongside additive manufacturing, technology excellence and DMG Mori Qualified Products, digitalization and automation are important future fields for DMG Mori.
The experts at Advanced Blockchain AG from Berlin have set themselves the goal of bringing distributed ledger technology to the real economy. The focus here is on B2B business in the area of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT). kp
