"While it's nice to see that the 50 years have been an interesting story in retrospect, it's crucial to look ahead, to have a vision for the future that continues to be filled with life. And I can promise you that: We are just as courageous today as we were in 1968!" emphasized Eckhard Bluhm in his welcoming speech.

From a one-man business to a medium-sized company

In 1968, Eckhard Bluhm set up his own company for marking technology, Bluhm & Co. This was based on the distribution rights from the US company Weber Inc, Chicago. The financing company Bluhm Leasing & Co KG, which is financially supported by the employees, has also been in existence since 1980. This gives customers the opportunity to finance objects of purchase. The group of companies maintains several subsidiaries in neighboring countries and actively operates an international partner sales network. The range of consulting services covers all marking technologies, including lasers. And Eckhard Bluhm has also thought about the future: his three sons have been co-partners for years and guarantee the secure continuation of the group of companies under the leadership of the second generation.

A look into the future

The three sons of the company founder gave an outlook on the coming years: Volker Bluhm, authorized signatory of Bluhm Systeme, reported on further expansion plans and the spatial expansion at the Rheinbreitbach headquarters with a new building. Carsten Bluhm, Sales Manager of the Laser division, discussed innovative product development, which is increasingly being driven by specific requirements. In addition to exciting developments in the field of RFID and human-machine interaction, Bluhm is currently working on individual service and financing concepts as well as remote maintenance ideas with smart glasses. Andreas Bluhm, authorized representative of Weber Marking Systems, spoke about the global contacts that the group of companies now maintains: "We are not only focusing on the German market, but now offer services such as consulting, sales and service worldwide via our international distribution partners!"
