Synchronous motor
Sensorless servomotor
The lean motor from Stöber Antriebstechnik is a synchronous motor that combines the properties of reluctance motors and permanent magnet excited servomotors. This opens up advantages: Reduction in TCO (total cost of ownership) by eliminating encoders and encoder cables, reduction in installation costs, reduction in operating costs thanks to high efficiency levels of up to 96 percent.
The motor enables designers to create new machine concepts thanks to encoderless operation - no feedback sensors are required. The manufacturer emphasizes the torque, speed and positioning characteristics as well as machine integration by reducing the external dimensions and weights. The manufacturer also wants to mention the conservation of resources: Saving on magnetic material while increasing torques and reducing the amount of material used for the housing and active part. pb
