Complete set of stepper motors, encoder and controller
Koco Motion presents the CS2RS series, a new complete set consisting of a stepper motor with encoder and matching controller. The stepper motor set with closed loop control comes from Leadshine, is available immediately and can be supplied in quantities of 1 or more.
The integrated stepper drive is based on the standard Modbus RTU protocol. The RS485 Modbus interface can network up to 31 axes. The integrated PR function has a 16-segment position table. It can be used to implement recurring sequences and motion sequences consisting of up to 16 positions.
The closed-loop stepper motor set not only prevents and readjusts step losses, but also eliminates the need for additional controllers in most applications. This makes the drive more reliable and cost-effective. The CS2RS series is easy to commission. It supports self-learning functions as well as the profile position, profile speed and homing operating modes. Simple control via predefined inputs and outputs is available as an option.
The CS2RS drive is suitable for precise positioning applications, for example in CNC machines. It can be used in applications with 0.2 to 3 Newton meters of torque. For the Z-axis in a machine tool, for example, there is a version with a brake. The IP65 motors are also suitable for use in difficult industrial environments.
The CS2RS-D507 drives two-phase stepper motors in NEMA sizes 17, 23 and 24 with incremental encoders of 4,000 pulses per revolution. Other versions with Nema 8, 11, 14, 17 and 34 motors are also possible. The controller itself can handle encoders from 1,000 to 4,000 pulses per revolution. This makes it possible to integrate motors from other brands and to easily implement almost any application.
A set can be configured and supplied with any number of suitable cables up to a cable length of 15 meters. The matching programming cable and an interface converter for the PC are available for an easy start. as
