Sinochronous motors
Drives for intralogistics
ABM Greiffenberger offers powerful drives for intralogistics. Among other things, the system provider has expanded its portfolio of energy-efficient Sinochron motors to include sizes 80 and 100 with an output of up to 13 kilowatts.
These motors operate with a high level of efficiency. This can be used efficiently, particularly in the partial load range: More than two thirds of drives in intralogistics - especially in the field of conveyor technology - are operated in this way. The full torque provided by the motor is only required briefly to start the load. The drives then generally run at only 20 to 30 percent of the nominal load. It is precisely in this range that these motors show their strengths compared to standard asynchronous motors. Their efficiency in the partial load range is sometimes more than twice as high.
The decisive factor here is a permanently excited synchronous motor that operates with virtually no rotor losses. Thanks to their anisotropic rotor geometry and the optimum ratio of inductances in the longitudinal and transverse directions, ABM sinochronous motors can be operated without sensors using a suitable controller, such as the Inveor drive controller. By eliminating the need for an encoder, the entire drive ensures stable operation and maximum availability. By connecting the controller directly to a 400-volt power supply, project planning is simple and the wiring effort is low. Typical areas of application are warehouse logistics, pump and travel drives as well as construction and textile machines. pb
