Upgraded servo drives

The compact AC servo systems of the Sigma-7 series from Yaskawa are used in packaging machines, semiconductor production and wood processing systems or in digital printing machines.

In addition to Ethercat and the Mechatrolink-III high-speed bus, the servo drives now also support the Profinet interface and can therefore be integrated directly into Profinet communication networks. The series includes narrow single and double-axis amplifier modules for 200 or 400 volts in a space-saving design, which can be arranged seamlessly in the control cabinet and optionally wired very easily via daisy chain. The fast-reacting servomotors cover outputs from 50 watts to 15 kilowatts with supply voltages of 200 or 400 volts and, according to the manufacturer, are smaller than the market standard. As an alternative to the servo motors, linear motors or, at 200 volts, torque motors can also be operated on the same amplifiers. as
