Over 4,000 different drive combinations

ebm-Papst has revised its web-based online portal for drive solutions. More than 4,000 different drive combinations from the modular system are available in the portal, and defined preferred types are ready for dispatch within 48 hours.

The online portal is aimed at all users, primarily developers, who are looking for a suitable drive to solve their drive task. Users can put together and order their own individual drive solution from various motor concepts (BLDC internal and external rotor motors with integrated electronics), suitable gearbox technologies (planetary, spur and angular gearboxes), integrated logic and power electronics with various control functions, encoders and brake modules.

In addition to the improved intuitive operability and new look, the most important new feature is that the configuration does not have to start with the motor as before; the user can also start with a gearbox or control electronics.

3D step files available in the portal

In addition, 3D step files for all products are available in the online portal. This makes it easier for developers to design the solution directly into their application. Defined preferred types are ready for dispatch within 48 hours. This enables customers to quickly test the selected drive combination in their application. Drives from the product partnership with Siemens called Simatic Micro-Drive are now also available.

The individual components are technically coordinated modular systems that can be integrated into machine concepts to save space. The reduced number of mechanical components reduces the installation effort. The simplified electrical connection also makes installation and commissioning quicker and easier.
