One-cable solution
Stöber presents its One Cable Solution (OCS). The drive specialist has developed this further in collaboration with encoder manufacturer Heidenhain and launched it on the market as the next generation.
With the future-proof Heidenhain EnDat 3 protocol, the new hybrid cable can reliably connect motors and drive controllers at a distance of up to 100 m.
Without an expensive output choke, it transmits interference-free signals from the motor to the drive controller at a distance of up to 50 m. The starting point for the development was the search for a solution for highly dynamic applications in drag chains.
Following extensive load tests, Stöber now guarantees with OCS a trailing capability without choke for cable lengths of up to 50 m. The new hybrid cable is designed for the EZ and EZS series of synchronous servomotors. These can be combined with all Stöber gearboxes in direct mounting.
