No 7 millimeters for integrated speed controller

Faulhaber has extended the BXT motor family, consisting of brushless DC servomotors with a particularly short design, in all sizes to include a diameter-compliant integrated speed controller.

With an additional mounting length of just 6.2 millimeters, the motor/speed controller combinations are available in the same installation space as the products with the integrated encoder IEF3-4096 (L).

The speed controller is also fully integrated into the motor housing by utilizing synergy effects with the encoder variants. Based on the manufacturer's SC technology, the motors can be put into operation with the Motion Manager (from version 6.6). The speed controller is connected to the application with a six-pin ribbon cable; suitable connectors are available as an option.

The speed controller can be combined with the housed BXT motors 2214...BXT H, 3216...BXT H and 4221...BXT H. According to Faulhaber, it guarantees the use of almost the entire power and speed range of the corresponding basic motors despite complete integration. A heat dissipation concept minimizes thermal losses.

The combination of BXT H motors with the integrated speed controller is a solution when speeds need to be precisely controlled in the tightest of spaces and high torques are required at the same time. Typical applications include pumps, hand-held devices (for the tattoo industry), device construction, laboratory and industrial automation. as
