New Managing Director of the Electrical Drives division
Dipl. Ing. Bernhard Sattler has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Electrical Drives Division of the ZVEI Automation Association. He succeeds Gunther Koschnick, who remains Managing Director of the Automation Association.
Sattler has been a manager for motors and frequency inverters at ZVEI since 2001 and has played a key role in shaping the energy efficiency requirements for motors and frequency inverters. "In addition to the requirements for the components, we must consistently continue on the path to optimizing the entire system. The first standards have already been developed, but this is just the beginning and must be followed by further activities," says Sattler about his new role. Another focus is on strengthening the European drive industry. "We must proactively shape the megatrends of digitalization and sustainability for drives in order to strengthen the leading position of the European drive industry in the future."
