New Management Board at Wittenstein
Change at the top of the company: Dr. Bertram Hoffmann (55) is the new CEO of Wittenstein. The mechanical engineer was previously a member of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth.
At the start of the new 2019/20 financial year, Hoffmann succeeds Dr. Bernd Schimpf, previously Spokesman of the Executive Board, who left the company on March 31, 2019.
Hoffmann studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe and at the Technical University of Karlsruhe. After obtaining his doctorate in engineering, he joined Robert Bosch as a trainee in October 1996 - this was followed by various positions in the areas of quality assurance, production, technical operations and plant management in Spain, Germany, Japan and the Czech Republic. In 2007, Hoffmann was appointed Managing Director of ZF Lenksysteme, Schwäbisch Gmünd.
In 2012, Hoffmann moved to Bosch Rexroth and became a member of the Executive Board with responsibility for the Renewable Energies business unit. In 2015, Hoffmann also took over responsibility for the Mobile Applications business unit as a member of the Executive Board and, as Head of the Mobile Applications business unit, responsibility for development.
