Conveying with more power
In fall 2017, Nord Drivesystems added frequency inverters for motor outputs up to 7.5 kilowatts to its Nordac Link field distributor series, thus completing the series for networked conveyor systems with many drive axes.
The systems of the new size are used wherever higher capacities are required, for example on inclined conveyors, lifting stations or long belt conveyors. Hoist functions and the safety functions STO and SS1 in accordance with EN 61800-5-2 are available as integrated functions. Nord designs the drive systems with geared motors from its own production for plant manufacturers and operators of goods and distribution centers, intralogistics and baggage handling systems. Interfaces for all standard fieldbuses and Industrial Ethernet protocols are supported. All connections for power, communication and sensors are pluggable, which ensures quick and error-free installation and maintenance. A smaller inverter size and motor starters are already available on the market - they cover the majority of all drive applications in intralogistics in the 0.55 to three kilowatt range. pb
