"With the new mayr.com communication center, we are creating a place of encounter, a place of direct communication from person to person, in contrast to today's increasingly anonymous communication via the Internet and social media," says senior partner Fritz Mayr. This is why the name "communication center" was chosen deliberately, as opposed to a technology or training center. "We value personal, direct communication. Because communication generates stability and creates trust," emphasizes Fritz Mayr.

During the panel discussion, District Administrator Maria Rita Zinnecker confirmed that the renowned family business is an important and down-to-earth employer in Ostallgäu. And Armin Holderried, Mayor of Mauerstetten, added: "We are proud to have Mayr Antriebstechnik as a global player in the community. We see the company as a strong partner and reliable employer that is stable and future-proof." What is special about Mayr Antriebstechnik as an employer is its orientation as a family business. The Mayr family has been behind the company since it was founded in 1897 - and is now in its fifth generation. Ferdinand Mayr, Fritz Mayr's grandson, is now a partner and member of the management board. "We consider our company and all our employees to be part of the Mayr family," explained Ferdinand Mayr in his welcoming address. "For us as the owner family, it is important to be present in the company, to help shape it and to put our values into practice. Our employees around the world rely on this."

Investing in the future

"With mayr.com, we are creating a space for shaping our communication," says Ferdinand Mayr. "Communication is bonding, is connection. And connection or networking is also the keyword for the challenges of modern industry. It's about networking products, machines, processes and people - worldwide. This is what the new building stands for. This is where we will communicate with customers and partners, pupils, students and our own employees, for example. The key words here are knowledge and learning. Because with today's rapidly changing requirements and markets, further training is an investment in the future. With the new communication center, we are strengthening our international connections as well as our headquarters in Mauerstetten. This clearly also includes our new 4,500^m2 assembly and logistics hall, which went into operation in 2017. With these major site investments, we are meeting the challenges of advancing digitalization. At the same time, we are meeting the growing market requirements for outstanding logistics. We are already in a strong position today and look forward to creatively shaping the future."

Strong international position

In his speech, Günther Klingler, Managing Director of Mayr Antriebstechnik, emphasized stability, reliability, innovation and continuity as the main pillars of the company: "Since its foundation in 1897, the company has been securing the movements of this world with innovative products." The international orientation of Mayr Drive Technology was also expressed in the welcoming address by Yu Wang, Managing Director of Mayr China in Zhangjiagang near Shanghai. "Mayr Drive Technology is the market leader in mechanical drive technology and works with leading international companies." The company is active in over 60 industries worldwide and has a total of over 1,200 employees. In addition to Mauerstetten, Mayr Antriebstechnik operates two further plants in Poland and China and has a global presence with sales offices in the USA, France, the UK, Italy, Singapore and Switzerland as well as around 40 other country representatives.
