Mayr opens new communication center
Mayr Antriebstechnik has opened its new communication center mayr.com in Mauerstetten in the Allgäu region.
"With the new mayr.com communication center, we are creating a place of encounter, a place of direct communication from person to person, in contrast to today's increasingly anonymous communication via the Internet and social media," explains senior partner Fritz Mayr. This is why the name "communication center" was deliberately chosen, in contrast to a technology or training center. The opening ceremony on April 18 was attended by around 140 invited guests from the worlds of politics, business and science, as well as representatives from the surrounding municipalities and schools.
"Another goal we are pursuing with mayr.com is the integration of the Mayr company into the surrounding area," adds Fritz Mayr. "Because we have a close relationship with our surroundings, our employees and the people in the region." The Mayr family has been behind the company since it was founded in 1897 - now in its fifth generation. Ferdinand Mayr, Fritz Mayr's grandson, is now a partner and member of the management team. "For us as the owner family, it is important to be there in the company, to help shape it and to put our values into practice."
"With mayr.com, we are creating a space for shaping our communication," says Ferdinand Mayr. "Communication is bonding, is connection. And connection or networking is also the keyword for the challenges of modern industry. It's about networking products, machines, processes and people - worldwide. This is what the new building stands for. This is where we will communicate with customers and partners, pupils, students and our own employees, for example."
The new communication center is intended to strengthen the company's international connections as well as its headquarters in Mauerstetten. This also includes the new 4,500 square meter assembly and logistics hall, which was put into operation in 2017.
Mayr is active in more than 60 industries worldwide and has a total of more than 1,200 employees. In addition to Mauerstetten, Mayr Antriebstechnik operates two further plants in Poland and China and has a global presence with sales offices in the USA, France, the UK, Italy, Singapore and Switzerland as well as around 40 other country representatives. The International Sales Meeting with more than 50 participants, one of the first events to take place in the new mayr.com following the opening, also reflects this orientation. as
