Powerful Exlar actuators

Lots of power on it

A-Drive has been using GSX electric cylinders from Curtiss Wright in its actuator solutions for a long time. Now these cylinders are equipped as standard with options that were previously only available as special versions.

Plus programmable encoder systems. The extended encoder compartment offers space for even more encoders without changing the dimensions of the electric cylinder. The manufacturer has developed a standard housing that is finished on site and can therefore be adapted to the respective connector type; this means that a separate housing no longer needs to be used for each connector type. The GSX actuators are characterized by their unique force density, accuracy and robustness; they are suitable for applications in the automotive industry, food production and various other sectors. The electric cylinders owe their special properties to the combination of three technologies: they combine high-performance actuators with an inverted, ground planetary roller screw drive and a T-Lam motor. This design enables continuous forces of up to 55,000 newtons and peak forces of up to 110,000 newtons. The standard travel of the push rod is 457 millimetres, the maximum stroke speed is 1,000 millimetres per second. pb
