Lots of power in a small space
Faulhaber has expanded its BXT flat motor series to include gears that are matched to it as well as integrated encoders and speed controllers that are unusually short in the axial direction.
Most users do not need individual motors to implement their drive solutions. They are better off with complete drive systems whose individual components are matched to each other. Even if installation space is limited and high-torque drives are required that are as short as possible in the axial direction due to the installation situation, such a solution is now available. The drive specialist Faulhaber has now expanded its BXT flat motor series to include gears and integrated encoders and speed controllers that are also unusually short in the axial direction. Typical applications for the compact drive systems include robotics, prosthetic joints, laboratory automation, pumps, medical technology and aircraft cabin equipment.
Thanks to winding technology and an optimized design, the motors themselves are only 14, 16 and 21 millimetres long, but deliver torques of up to 134 mNm with a diameter of 22, 32 or 42 millimetres. For precise speed control or where high positioning accuracy is required, diameter-compliant magnetic encoders or speed controllers are now fully integrated into the housed motor variants, increasing the length of the drive by just 6.2 millimetres. The matching metal planetary gearboxes from the GPT series are also characterized by their short design, high torque and the finest gradations of the numerous reduction ratios. as
