Koco automotive introduces new managing director
Dr. Gerrit Kocherscheidt has been the new Managing Director of Koco automotive since January 2018. The graduate physicist is taking over the sister company of Koco Motion, which was founded in 2013.
After studying physics at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Dr. Kocherscheidt completed his doctorate in semiconductor spectroscopy at the University of Dortmund. He joined Dioptic in 2000 as a specialist in optical measurement technology. This was followed by five years as a development project manager at Sirona Dental Systems from 2003. Gerrit Kocherscheidt then headed up development projects as Head of Development at Roche Diagnostics from 2012. He was responsible for the development of diagnostic systems.
In addition to customer development projects, Dr. Kocherscheidt's focus will be on training employees to meet the growing demands of customers. To this end, the new Managing Director and his team initially want to market the existing products and services more strongly and develop further applications for these products.
At the same time, the course is to be set for a succession plan for the current Managing Director, company founder and father Gerhard Kocherscheidt. Until the end of 2018, Gerrit Kocherscheidt will continue to work half-time for Roche Diagnostics and half-time for Koco automotive, before joining the family business in Dauchingen full-time in 2019. as
