High functionality in a small installation space

Nord Drivesystems has developed its Nordac On decentralized frequency inverter series for smaller power ranges up to 2.2 kW. The inverters are characterized by an integrated Ethernet interface, complete pluggability and an extremely compact design.

Nord has designed the new frequency inverters for the requirements of horizontal conveyor technology. They will be available in two product series that have been specially optimized for combination with Nord motors.

Both versions are available in three sizes for power ranges up to 2.2 kW. And both have an integrated Ethernet interface with which the desired communication protocol can be easily set, whether ProfiNET, EtherNET IP or EtherCAT. This makes the Nordac On ideally suited for integration into modern IloT environments. The equipment also includes a diagnostic interface, four digital inputs and, in the case of the Nordac On+, an additional protocol-based encoder interface that is well protected against interference.

Economical plug & play solution

The compact decentralized inverters can be ideally integrated into conveyor systems, saving space and the complex wiring with motor cables that central frequency inverters require. With its fully pluggable connections, the Nordac On is an economical plug & play solution for post & parcel and warehouse applications.

Like all Nord frequency inverters, the Nordac On also has a powerful PLC for drive-related functions. This can process the data from connected sensors and actuators, initiate sequence controls autonomously and transmit the drive and application data to the control station, networked components or a cloud. This enables continuous condition monitoring and thus lays the foundation for predictive maintenance concepts and optimized system dimensioning.

Also for deep-freeze applications and the food industry

Functional safety functions such as STO and internal braking resistors for dynamic start-stop processes are optionally available for all Nordac-On models. If motor mounting of the inverter is not desired or possible, there is also the alternative of wall mounting to connect the inverter close to the drive.

With its temperature tolerance range of -30 to 40 °C, the Nordac On is also suitable for deep-freeze applications, and with the optional corrosion-resistant nsd tupH surface coating for use in the food industry.
