Hirata expands site in Germany
Hirata Engineering Europe is expanding its site in Mainz in response to future development trends in the field of electromobility.
From May 2019, part of the design and production department will move to a new location in Mainz-Hechtsheim. The entire Powertrain division, which deals with the planning, design and manufacture of systems for the production of transmissions, motors and batteries for the automotive industry, is moving into its own hall with adjoining offices. In over 2,500 square meters of office and production space, more than 30 of the 65 employees in the Mainz-Hechtsheim industrial estate will in future produce complete turnkey systems, such as a fully automated assembly system for drive components for electric vehicles.
Hirata has a high level of knowledge and experience, particularly in the field of electric vehicle production. In recent years, various projects have been successfully implemented for the powertrain sector, in some cases with the support of the parent company.
Special machine construction with complete and partial systems for small parts assembly and palletizing as well as the production of semi-standard products will remain at the previous location in Mainz-Gonsenheim. as
