FT electric cylinder

More powerful than hydraulics or pneumatics

With Exlar's electric cylinders, A-Drive offers an alternative to hydraulic or pneumatic systems. The electric linear actuators are more compact, more powerful and have lower energy and maintenance costs.

Electric actuators from Exlar not only have many advantages over hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, but also in comparison to many electric cylinders on the market. While these often have a ball screw drive, all electric cylinders from Exlar are equipped with a roller screw drive. For this reason, they achieve higher accelerations and work more dynamically. Thanks to their high load ratings, Exlar electric cylinders are also more overload-resistant than electric actuators with ball screw drives. Another advantage is the compact design of the actuators, which makes them ideal for use in applications with limited installation space. The higher costs of the electric cylinders with roller screw drive are therefore offset by performance gains and savings in operating costs - especially as these actuators have a longer service life and therefore require less maintenance.

FT series for pressing, punching or bending systems

The electric cylinders in Exlar's FT series are particularly suitable for use in pressing, punching or bending systems. The actuators cover a force range of up to 178 kilonewtons and achieve a maximum force of 356 kilonewtons in the FTP series. A-Drive supplies the electric cylinders in the four standard sizes FT 35, 45, 60 and 80, while the FTX series is also available in sizes 95, 125 and 215 and the FTP series.

In the FTX series, features have been integrated as standard that Exlar previously only implemented in customer-specific versions of the electric cylinders. All actuators in the FT series now also have grooves, trunnions and a mounting block for attaching different motor sizes. Exlar actuators are now also available in an ATEX version, a version with a high degree of protection or a food-safe version. as
